Grow your own delicious tomatoes this year! Slow Food Chicago is promoting heritage breed tomato plants. We encourage people all over Chicagoland to plant, grow & enjoy tomatoes of uncommon flavor. Heritage breed tomatoes are known to be unusual looking and have far more complex flavors than conventional varieties.

We will host our second annual Tomato Festival at the Chicago Honey Coop in early September where you can bring the fruits of the labor to share with other Chicagoland gardeners.  Last year nearly fifty people attended & we enjoyed tasting almost that many varieties.
