The Time for Lunch campaign is a national campaign to give kids the school food they deserve.

Tens of thousands of citizens are asking U.S. legislators to invest in healthier food, strengthen nutrition standards and link schools to local farms when Congress updates School Lunch this year in the Child Nutrition Act.

How can I help Chicago-area kids have better lunches?

1) Tell your friends and family

Use our sample lettersĀ What it’s Worth & Chicago – My Kind of Town

2) Host a letter writing event at your school or home (see resources section below)

3) Facebook, tweet, or blog about the issue

4) Send an email to your legislators

5) Call your legislator

6) Reach out to local PTAs, churches, schools, after-school programs, meet-up groups and partner organizations. Ask if they can forward an email to their networks, or if you can come talk at a future meeting.
