Slow Food Chicago has been invited by Bellavita (the largest Made-in-Italy Food & Wine Expo outside of Italy) to participate in their U.S. debut at the National Restaurant Association show this May. (Sort of fitting as Slow Food got it's start in Italy in the 1980's - don't you think?) Slow Food Chicago board member and Nico Osteria pasty chef, Leigh Omilinsky will be doing an Italian pastry demonstration and current Slow Food Chicago President, Cortney Ahern will host a discussion about Terre Madre. If you're going to be at the show, we hope you'll stop by and see us!
12:30pm-1:30pm / Pastry Demonstration
Leigh Omilinsky, Pastry Chef at Nico Osteria
Cortney Ahern, Slow Food Chicago President
Bellavita Talk : Artisan Food + Sustainability - how can we influence production with our choices as consumers?
