Slow Food Chicago's Annual Tomato Seedling sale returns to the pie garden at Bang Bang in Logan Square! Come pick up a variety of heirloom tomato seedlings generously provided from a handful of our farm partners for your garden, porch stoop or patio. We have hundreds of seedlings growing (think varieties like Amish Paste, Cherokee Purple, Sungold and SO MUCH MORE) and getting strong so they can go home with YOU from 9am-1pm (or until we sell out) on Sunday, May 21st. This year, we are also expanding our seedling lineup to include some pepper seedlings grown by Slow Food Chicago Board Member, Alison Parker at her Libertyville, IL farm, Radical Root. (Are you thinking what we're thinking? Your end of summer "garden to chip" salsas are going to be so next level this year!)
Is there a dreamier way to spend a Sunday than eating pie (or a biscuit, or both!), sipping coffee and picking up seedlings so you can #growyourown this summer? We think not. See you in the pie garden!
