We're returning to the EGMK Community Garden (Earl's Garden Mae's Kitchen) in Englewood for another "Raise the Barn" crop mob with our friends Advocates for Urban Agriculture. This unique space was purchased by a neighborhood family through the city's $1 large lot program and has become a labor of love dedicated to youth & community education, health and wellness.
You may recall, over the spring, we had a crop mob to help them build a fire pit for use in on-site cooking and workshops. Now, we need your help with the goal of building a theater and workshop stage in the garden. Volunteers will also be helping to haul wood chips, stain logs for seating, and so much more! Come join us and help us take this space to a whole new level! Who knows, you might make some urban ag friends along the way. Please wear garden clothes (that you don't mind getting a little dirty), closed toe shoes and bring your own water if you can. If you're interested in joining us, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. See you soon in the garden!
