*****PLEASE NOTE, THIS EVENT WILL NO LONGER BE HELD ON 10/21/18 AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE IN EARLY SPRING 2019! THANK YOU.*****
Mark your calendars for a crop mob at Slow Food Chicago board member Alison Parker’s farm, Radical Root. We’ll be helping to weed the strawberry patch (and dreaming for next spring’s fruit!). After the hard work is done, stick around for a potluck meal and film screening inside the farms barn of the documentary “Deeply Rooted” about farmer and seed saving advocate John Coykendall. Light snacks will be provided and you may even go home with a goody bag! Please bring your own blanket or chair, and utensils so we can share a sustainably-minded meal without creating waste with disposables. We ask that you donate $5 to offset the costs of putting on this screening. Nothing says fall like an afternoon in the dirt followed by an outdoor film and evening of community.
Reserve your spot here. [THIS TICKET LINK IS NO LONGER ACTIVE AS THE EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A TO BE DETERMINED DATE IN SPRING 2019!]
