Sixteen years ago, Cedar Valley Sustainable Farm was born. Farmers, Jody and Beth Osmund, are passionate supporters of Slow Food’s “Good, Clean and Fair” mission and are marking their anniversary with a charitable donation to Slow Food Chicago - with your help. For the month of July, when you purchase a meat CSA (community supported agriculture) share from Cedar Valley Sustainable Farm, they will in turn donate $16 to Slow Food Chicago, directed to support outreach programs that emphasize the Clean and Fair portions of our work.
Cedar Valley Sustainable supplies monthly shares of beef, pork, chicken and eggs to CSA members in and around Chicago.
When asked to describe how Cedar Valley walks the talk of Good, Clean and Fair, Jody explains :
Good is in the pleasure that our food brings to eaters. The taste and quality are unsurpassed.
Clean is the care with which animals are raised. They are not fit into a production system, but our system is designed to care for our animals.
Fair is how we run our business. We are committed to the highest customer satisfaction, both with our products and our service and we charge a price for our food reflects the true cost of raising the animals the way we do.
To claim this offer, go to Cedar Valley’s Website. When you make your share purchase, answer “Slow Food” to the “How did you hear about us?” question on the sign up form.
Offer valid 7/1/2019 - 7/31/2019.
